The illustrations show a mechanical solar system designed by Antide Janvier (1751-1835). The model demonstrates the interdependency, the ‘sphere of influence’, of one celestial body on another. Any organisation, like the solar system, has its own ‘sphere of influence’ - through its employees, in its markets, with the community and in the environment – this is collectively called corporate responsibility.
